Flywire Corporation Welcomes Cosmin Pitigoi as CFO to Drive Financial Operations and Global Growth

Global payments enablement and software company Flywire Corporation has announced the appointment of Cosmin Pitigoi as its Chief Financial Officer, effective March 4, 2024. Pitigoi, who brings decades of senior financial leadership experience, is set to play a pivotal role in scaling financial operations, optimizing costs, and expanding Flywire's global footprint.

In his new position, Pitigoi will report directly to Flywire’s CEO Mike Massaro and will be responsible for overseeing various crucial functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, investor relations, internal audit, SEC reporting, tax, credit and risk, and treasury operations.

Flywire, amid a period of rapid growth, has been actively addressing complex payment challenges for over 3,700 clients across diverse industries such as Education, Healthcare, Travel, and B2B. Pitigoi's extensive financial leadership background, garnered over twenty years at PayPal and eBay, positions him well to navigate Flywire through its next phase of expansion.

Pitigoi's roles at PayPal and eBay included serving as the senior vice president in PayPal finance, where he led a global cross-functional team focusing on FP&A, operational finance, and pricing. His expertise also extends to leadership roles in investor relations, business unit FP&A, and treasury at eBay. Pitigoi commenced his career in operational and finance roles at E*Trade and Barclays.

With a B.Comm. from Stellenbosch University in South Africa and an MBA from Santa Clara University, Pitigoi brings a robust academic background to complement his practical experience.
