Eli Lilly and Company has today announced the immediate appointment of Lucas Montarce as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, in addition to a member of the company's Executive Committee. Numerous finance leadership positions have been held by Montarce, who joined Lilly in 2001. He has held the positions of group Vice President, Corporate Controller, and CFO at Lilly Research Laboratories, in addition to senior financial duties at Elanco Health and Lilly International. More recently, Montarce served as the President and General Manager of the Spain, Portugal, and Greece center.
Montarce graduated from Catholic University in Argentina with a bachelor's degree in business accounting and an MBA from the Center for Macroeconomic Studies of Argentina. David A. Ricks, the chair and CEO of Lilly, conveyed his enthusiasm for the appointment, stating, "We are excited to announce Lucas as Lilly's next CFO, following a competitive search across health care, tech, and general industries."
