Asana Appoints Sonalee Parekh as New CFO to Lead Next Growth Phase

Sonalee Parekh was named Chief Financial Officer of Asana, a well-known work management platform. Parekh takes over for Tim Wan, who has been CFO since 2017. Wan will continue to act as an advisor to facilitate a seamless transfer. Parekh has over 25 years of experience in the banking and technology industries. He was formerly employed at HPE and RingCentral in executive financial positions. Parekh will be in charge of Asana's worldwide finance operations and will contribute to the company's next stage of expansion as it uses AI to revolutionize the job management sector.

Co-Founder and CEO of Asana, Dustin Moskovitz, commended Parekh's broad expertise and highlighted her track record of achieving growth and profitability at scale. At RingCentral, Parekh doubled operating profit while maintaining strong revenue growth, and at HPE, she was key in the company's transition to an as-a-service model. With Asana already serving over 150,000 customers, including Amazon and Accenture, Parekh’s strategic leadership will be crucial in advancing the company's mission to enhance productivity and efficiency through AI-driven work management solutions.
