Eric Aboaf has been named S&P Global's next Chief Financial Officer, with effect from February 2025. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team and an Executive Vice President, he will report directly to Martina L. Cheung, the next President and CEO, who will take over on November 1, 2024. Cheung has emphasized Aboaf's extensive background in finance and his proven ability to promote long-term success. His duties at S&P Global will include managing the whole finance department of the business and setting it up to increase shareholder value.
Aboaf brings nearly eight years of CFO experience from State Street Corporation, where he also served as Vice Chairman. His previous roles include CFO for Citizens Financial Group and senior financial positions at Citigroup, where he managed the company’s substantial balance sheet as Treasurer. An alumnus of The Wharton School and MIT, Aboaf currently chairs the New York City Urban Debate League.
