Birkenstock Welcomes Ivica Krolo as CFO to Lead Global Finance Function

Birkenstock Holding plc has appointed Ivica Krolo as the new Chief Financial Officer of the Birkenstock Group. He succeeds Dr. Erik Massmann, who stepped down after successfully leading the company’s finance function through a critical phase, including preparations for its IPO. Krolo brings extensive expertise in finance and strategic planning, having previously served as Partner and CFO at EMH Partners, a growth investment firm specializing in owner-managed technology companies. With a strong background in finance, tax, legal, and corporate administration, he is well-positioned to drive Birkenstock’s financial strategy and support its next phase of global growth.

His career also includes significant experience as a Certified Public Auditor and Tax Advisor, roles in which he honed his expertise in financial oversight for both listed and mid-sized companies. Birkenstock's CEO, Oliver Reichert, expressed excitement about Krolo’s appointment, noting his pragmatic approach and people-first leadership style. Reichert emphasized that Krolo's operational and financial planning experience would be crucial in supporting Birkenstock’s vision for sustainable growth. As part of the leadership transition, Krolo and Massmann will present the company's Q1 2025 financial results together on February 20, 2025.
