David Collins has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Madison Square Garden Entertainment. With over 30 years of financial experience, including roles in live entertainment and sports, Collins brings a wealth of expertise to the company. In his new role, Collins will work closely with the Executive Management Team to guide the company's long-term strategy and oversee key financial functions such as planning, analysis, treasury, investor relations, tax, and procurement. James L. Dolan, Executive Chairman and CEO of MSG Entertainment, expressed his enthusiasm for Collins's appointment, stating, "David not only brings with him expertise in live entertainment and sports businesses, but also has a diversity of finance experience across his career that will be an asset as we continue to pursue our long-term goals and advance key initiatives."
Before joining MSG Entertainment, Collins served as CFO and Executive Vice President at Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment. There, he oversaw all financial matters for major properties such as the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils. His extensive background also includes senior financial positions at Base Entertainment, where he managed finance and operations for live shows and venues across North and South America and Asia. Collins began his career at Ernst & Young as a Senior Auditor and Certified Public Accountant. Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience across various sectors, including entertainment, sports, energy, transportation, and restaurants. In his new role, Collins aims to leverage his financial expertise to support MSG Entertainment's ongoing growth and strengthen its leadership team.
