OpenText Corporation has appointed Steve Rai as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Rai, who brings over 30 years of international finance experience, joins the company from BlackBerry Limited, where he served as CFO and led major financial and operational transformations during the firm’s restructuring. His career also includes senior finance roles at PMC-Sierra and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Based in Waterloo, Ontario, Rai will oversee OpenText’s financial strategy and operations as the company advances its position in secure information management for artificial intelligence.
Rai holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Simon Fraser University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the U.S. and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia. Interim CEO James McGourley stated, “Steve's impressive background as a leader in finance and operations in the technology industry will help us drive our next phase of growth and strategic vision.”
