Marathon Petroleum Corporation, which operates the nation’s refining system and Marathon-branded retail network, has announced that Maria A. Khoury will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, succeeding John J. Quaid, who will remain during a transition period. Chairman-elect, President, and CEO Maryann Mannen stated that Maria brings 25 years of extensive financial operations experience and industry knowledge, including roles in oil and gas, and will be a valuable addition to the executive team as the company advances MPC's strategic goals.
He further added, “Her proven abilities to develop competitive capital allocation, growth, financial planning, and risk management strategies will advance our efforts to continue positioning the company to deliver industry-leading cash generation and capital returns.”
Khoury brings extensive experience from her tenure at Danaher, where she served as Vice President, Group CFO Biotechnology, overseeing finance operations for Cytiva and Pall Life Sciences, including controllership, treasury, and tax functions. Her prior roles include Vice President, Finance and IT at GE Healthcare Life Sciences in the UK, and financial leadership positions at GE Oil & Gas in the U.S. and Italy.
