Amundi, a European asset manager with a significant private markets platform, and ICG, a private markets asset manager overseeing nearly $125 billion, have announced a long-term strategic partnership aimed at expanding access to private assets for wealth investors. The agreement includes a 10-year arrangement under which Amundi will act as the exclusive global distributor in the wealth channel for select ICG products, while ICG will serve as Amundi’s exclusive provider for those strategies.
As part of the partnership, Amundi plans to acquire a 9.9% economic stake in ICG, a non-dilutive investment that allows Amundi to nominate a non-executive director to ICG’s board. The collaboration will begin with two European evergreen vehicles launching in 2026, focused on private equity secondaries and private debt. These structures continue to gain momentum as managers seek flexible funding sources that sit between traditional institutional capital and retail demand. As wealth channels expand their private markets exposure, evergreen funds are becoming a more prominent part of the fundraising landscape, influencing liquidity profiles, deployment pacing, and the flow of long-duration capital.
