Atlassian Names James Chuong CFO to Steer Next Growth Phase

Atlassian Corporation has appointed James Chuong as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he will oversee the company’s Finance and Legal functions, bringing more than two decades of experience across technology and investment banking. Chuong most recently served as CFO of LinkedIn, where he led financial operations during a period of significant scale, supporting growth to more than one billion members and $18 billion in revenue. Over 13 years at LinkedIn, he managed financial planning and analysis, business operations, international finance, and financial systems across global teams.

Before joining LinkedIn, Chuong worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan, Citigroup, and Bank of America Securities. Based in San Francisco, Chuong holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego. His appointment comes as Atlassian accelerates its AI-enabled system of work across software development and enterprise service management. As the company deepens its investment in artificial intelligence, Chuong will help align financial strategy with its innovation roadmap. His leadership is expected to support Atlassian’s next phase of AI-driven growth.
