FedEx has appointed Marshall Witt as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of FedEx Freight, reporting directly to President and CEO John Smith. Witt brings extensive financial leadership experience, having served as CFO of TD SYNNEX for 12 years, where he guided the company through significant revenue and EBITDA growth and oversaw the spin-off of Concentrix in 2020.
Prior to TD SYNNEX, Witt spent 15 years at FedEx, mainly within the FedEx Freight finance organization, most recently as Senior Vice President of Finance and Controller. In his new role, Witt will lead all financial operations for FedEx Freight, including capital allocation, strategic growth initiatives, accounting, financial planning and analysis, and investor relations.
Smith stated, “Marshall’s extensive expertise in guiding companies through critical periods of transition to deliver profitable growth will unlock enterprise-wide value for FedEx Freight, its team members, customers, and stockholders.” Witt commented, “I look forward to working closely with John and the broader leadership team to realize the value-creation opportunity the spin-off presents for stockholders.” His appointment is expected to provide critical financial guidance as FedEx Freight transitions into an independent business, supporting operational performance and strategic decision-making for stockholders
