Ibotta, a Denver-based digital promotions company serving consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands through its Ibotta Performance Network (IPN), announced the appointment of Matt Puckett as its new Chief Financial Officer. Puckett will oversee financial strategy, operations, and investor relations as the company expands its performance marketing capabilities. He succeeds Valarie Sheppard, who has served as interim CFO since March 2025 and will continue on Ibotta’s board as Lead Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee.
Bryan Leach, Ibotta’s Founder and CEO, welcomed the appointment, stating, “His deep expertise in all aspects of financial strategy and management, experience in operational execution, and proven track record of guiding innovative companies through periods of transformation will be invaluable as we continue to revolutionize the way brands connect with their customers.”
Puckett brings more than two decades of experience from VF Corporation, where he served as enterprise CFO and held multiple international and operational finance leadership roles. Commenting on his new role, he said, “I am incredibly excited to join Ibotta at such a dynamic and important time. I look forward to contributing to its continued success and to driving financial excellence across the Company.” His appointment comes at a time when Ibotta recently launched dynamic performance marketing campaigns with leading CPG clients, strengthening its strategy of helping brands and retailers deliver measurable results to more than 200 million consumers through the IPN.
