Markus Neubrand Joins PUMA as New CFO

PUMA, a leading global sportswear brand, has appointed Markus Neubrand as its new Chief Financial Officer. Neubrand, who recently served as CFO at GUESS? brings extensive experience from his previous roles as Group CFO at MCM Worldwide and Chief Operating and Financial Officer at HUGO BOSS Americas. At PUMA, Neubrand will oversee finance, investor relations, legal, IT, and business solutions. Arne Freundt, CEO of PUMA, expressed excitement over Neubrand's appointment, highlighting his operational, financial planning, and capital markets expertise, along with a people-first approach that aligns with PUMA’s values of sustainable growth and brand elevation.

This transition comes as Hubert Hinterseher steps down as CFO on September 30, 2024, after a notable tenure at PUMA. Hinterseher, who will leave the company on December 31, 2024, is recognized for his significant contributions over the past two decades. Héloïse Temple-Boyer, Chair of the Supervisory Board, acknowledged Hinterseher’s efforts in PUMA’s success. The updated Management Board, now including Neubrand, aims to continue driving PUMA’s mission of innovation and excellence in the sportswear industry. With Neubrand’s strong industry knowledge and leadership skills, PUMA is set to embark on a new chapter of growth and success.
