Duncan Minto has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Renault Group, effective March 1st. Minto, who has been serving as CFO of Alpine since October 2023, will now expand his leadership role within the Renault Group. Minto brings 25 years of experience in finance and deep expertise in the automotive sector. Before joining Alpine, he held various senior financial roles, further strengthening his leadership credentials. As a key member of Renault Group’s Leadership Team, he will report directly to CEO Luca de Meo and play a pivotal role in driving the company’s ongoing transformation efforts.
Minto succeeds Thierry Piéton, who played an essential part in Renault’s strategic direction over the past nine years. Piéton’s efforts helped improve performance management, establish more robust financial operations, and enhance the company’s standing in the eyes of investors. As Minto steps into this pivotal role, he inherits a company poised for continued growth, with a solid foundation for navigating the evolving automotive industry. Renault Group has undergone significant restructuring in recent years, and Minto’s role will focus on enhancing operational performance and unlocking new growth potential.
