Snowflake Names Brian Robins as Chief Financial Officer

Snowflake announced the appointment of Brian Robins as its new Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Mike Scarpelli. Robins will oversee Snowflake’s global finance functions, including planning, treasury, tax, reporting, and investor relations, and will play a key role in shaping financial strategies to support the company’s long-term growth. CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy stated, “Brian’s deep commitment to operational rigor and long-term high growth aligns perfectly with the strategic direction of Snowflake.” highlighting his alignment with the company’s strategy as Snowflake expands its role in the AI and data cloud market.

Robins brings extensive financial leadership experience from his role as CFO of GitLab since 2020, where he managed financial, data, and business systems functions. Robins holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Lipscomb University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. His previous positions include serving as CFO at Sisense, Cylance, AlienVault, and Verisign, as well as advisory roles at Brighton Park Capital and ForgePoint Capital Cybersecurity. He also sits on the boards of the GitLab Foundation and ID.me.
