Southwest Airlines has appointed Tom Doxey as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective March 10, 2025. Doxey brings extensive experience in aviation finance, operations, and strategic transformation. Bob Jordan, Southwest’s CEO, highlighted Doxey’s expertise in financial planning, fleet management, and operational leadership as critical to advancing the airline's transformational plan. Doxey will focus on strengthening the company’s financial position, enhancing operations, and maintaining strong relationships with employees, investors, and shareholders.
Doxey most recently served as President of Breeze Airways, where he guided the airline from startup to profitability in under two years. His leadership saw the launch of a loyalty program, co-branded credit card, fleet optimization, and the airline’s rise as the largest NCAA basketball charter operator. Prior to Breeze, he held senior roles at United Airlines, including Senior Vice President of Technical Operations and CFO of Operations, overseeing a $5 billion budget and leading key initiatives during the pandemic. Doxey began his aviation career with Allegiant Air and US Airways, specializing in aircraft transactions and corporate finance. He holds an MBA from Arizona State University and a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University.
