Zoom Appoints Michelle Chang as Chief Financial Officer Amid Strategic Expansion

Zoom Video Communications has announced the appointment of Michelle Chang as its new Chief Financial Officer. Chang, who brings over 25 years of financial leadership experience, will report directly to Zoom’s CEO, Eric S. Yuan. She joins from Microsoft, where she served as Corporate Vice President and CFO of the Commercial Sales and Partner Organization. In her new role, Chang will oversee Zoom’s financial strategy, managing areas including investor relations, tax, accounting, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A). She succeeds Kelly Steckelberg, who will remain in an advisory role until the end of the company’s third fiscal quarter.

Chang's extensive background includes leadership positions at Microsoft, where she played a key role in driving growth initiatives across several divisions, including Modern Workplace and Cyber Security. Her experience in building strong cross-functional teams and fostering partnerships will be instrumental as Zoom continues to advance its AI-first work platform strategy, Zoom 2.0. Zoom, founded in 2011 and headquartered in San Jose, California, is renowned for its collaboration platform aimed at enhancing workplace communication.
